TCL CSOT Takes the Lead in Formulating the Group Standards for Electronic Design Automation Software (EDA)

Recently, the electronic design automation software (EDA) group standard Functional Requirements for Electronic Design Automation Software (standard No. T/GBA 010-2022), led by TCL CSOT, was officially released in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Standards Innovation Alliance. This also indicates that the efficiency and operability of circuit design will be better standardized, and it also provides the necessary standardization basis for the development of the industry.

 

 

It is reported that this standard, as a basic guide for electronic design automation software (EDA), describes and explains the operation environment and software design functions, and can be applied to the research and development and testing of electronic design automation software products used in analog/RF design, providing certain guidance for developers and software users.

In August 2022, organized by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Standards Innovation Alliance, TCL CSOT took the lead in proposing the electronic design automation software standard. After the project was successfully approved, TCL CSOT, together with Empyrean Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd., South University of Science and Technology and other enterprises and universities, established a standard preparation team and carried out work. The running environment and design functions of electronic design automation software products were drafted and discussed extensively. After expert reviewed, the final standard draft was formed and released.

 

 

The functional requirements of electronic design automation software are the standards for electronic design automation software used in analog/RF design, which provide the basic requirements for the operating environment of electronic design automation software and product design functions, establish the functional layout of electronic design automation software used in analog/RF design on local systems and cloud systems, and specify the functional modules commonly available in electronic design automation software. This standard can be used as the technical basis for guiding the design and development of relevant software.
