With the growing popularity of new technologies such as 5G, big data, cloud computing and the Internet of Things, the market demand for IT display applications has doubled rapidly. TCL CSOT Guangzhou t9 project, with an investment of 35 billion Yuan and a monthly production capacity of 180000 glass substrates, is the first advanced LCD panel production line specializing in high-end IT products and professional displays in China. It adopts HFS and high mobility oxide technology independently developed by TCL CSOT, which can realize the production of display products with larger size, higher refresh rate and higher resolution.
Li Dongsheng, the founder and Chairman of TCL, delivered a speech at the ceremony, saying that as a major strategic deployment of TCL CSOT to "move towards global leadership"; the t9 project is positioned to produce high-end IT and professional display products, complementing the TCL CSOT product line. With the advantages of high mobility oxide technology with independent property rights, it will explore the industrialization of the next generation of display technology, and is expected to become a globally competitive LCD panel production line. At the same time, the project actively supports the dual carbon strategy of national and brand customers, makes every effort to create new green and environmental protection products, and will provide assistance for regional economic development and the implementation of long-term strategies after being put into operation. In the future, TCL CSOT will continue to adhere to the concept of "open innovation, win-win cooperation", deepen cooperation with its partners, and jointly build a new ecology of the display industry.

Jin Xuzhi, CEO of TCL CSOT, expressed his deep gratitude to government departments at all levels, bank consortium, customs and other units for their support of the project. He said that the construction of TCL CSOT Guangzhou t9 Project started in March last year. During the construction period, the main plant was capped in 9 months, the main equipment was moved in in 13 months, the products were lit up in 66 days, and the project was completed and put into production quickly, creating a new record in the industry, fully reflecting the speed and efficiency advantages of TCL CSOT.
(Speech by Jin Xuzhi, CEO of TCL CSOT)
As the world's leading G8.6 generation HFS LCD and oxide backplane production line, the t9 Project has many advantages over similar production lines in the industry. Technically, the t9 Project is the first production line in the world to import 4mask Oxide technology, and also the only advanced panel production line compatible with LCD, Micro LED, IJP OLED in the world; in terms of products, the t9 Project focuses on display products in different application scenarios such as IT, vehicle, medical, industrial control and aviation, and can produce 6-inch to 100-inch display products in full-size series; in terms of efficiency, compared with the G8.5 generation mass production line, the cutting efficiency of the standard sizes of mobile phones and laptops in the t9 Project increased by 9% on average, and that of mainstream laptops increased by 10% on average.
Sigmaintell believes that, as the inventory of major brands continues to decline and the panel factory expands the production reduction rate, which forms a support for market supply and demand, the market has expected that the price will reach the bottom and rise again. It is expected that the panel prices of large sized applications in the fourth quarter will stop falling and stabilize in stages.
In the face of the upcoming recovery of the overall market and the strong demand in the subdivided fields, the t9 Project will help TCL CSOT's medium-sized business enter a new stage of large-scale and systematic operation, further strengthen the agglomeration development trend and competitive advantage, enable TCL CSOT to continuously consolidate and improve the product matrix and business system in the full size field, build new momentum for development, and become one of the main engines of TCL's scientific and technological performance growth.
After the project produces in full capacity, it can contribute 30 billion Yuan of annual output value to Guangzhou. It will also drive investment in upstream and downstream industries, give play to the industrial agglomeration effect, and is expected to form a semiconductor industry cluster with an output value of 100 billion Yuan so as to accelerate building Guangzhou into a "world display city".
As an important strategic deployment for TCL CSOT to become a global leader in semiconductor display, the completion of the TCL CSOT Guangzhou t9 Project will accelerate the restructuring of the competition pattern, further strengthen the leadership of domestic enterprises in high-end IT and professional display and other high potential growth markets, and enhance the position and voice of Chinese panel enterprises in the division of labor in the global industry chain.
